Studio Spaces For Hire

Cohesion external dark

We have several artists studios available for hire, in our buildings on Nile Street and Villiers Street.

Studio 1, Nile Street
Available immediately for £90pcm this studio is located in the 'hot-shop' at Nile Street. Adjacent to the glass-blowing workshop the studio has half-height walls on two sides, and is therefore more open than some of our other studios. Our building manager and glass-maker occupies the adjoining studio, and the building's toilet and kitchen facilities are located in this part of the building too.

Gallery Studio, Nile Street
Available immediately for £430pcm this studio is located at the front of Nile Street with windows overlooking Coronation Street, and a separate entrance (shared with one other occupier). Previously used by the Charity as a gallery and workshop space, and most recently as a photography studio.

Nile Street is a single level building, which was converted from a car garage into 'messy' artist spaces. It can get cold in the winter so most of our occupants supply their own plug-in heaters. Studios are open to encourage a community feel between artists, which was part of the ethos when the studios were built.

Studios 1, 3, 5, 7 and 8 Villiers Street
Available from January, these studios range in size and are priced from £127 to £215 per month. All studios are on the first floor of the building, accessed via a shared entrance with ground floor space (currently vacant). The first floor is alarmed and has a communal kitchen, and male and female toilets. Due to the age and structure of this building there is no access for wheelchair users and it is not suitable for artists with large-scale work that cannot be moved by hand.

Our terms for studio hire stipulate the payment of the first and final month's hire fee at the start of the agreement. Monthly hire can then be paid on a monthly or quarterly basis in advance by standing order.
